The Shri Ram School is a manifestation of the vision and passion of Mrs. Manju Bharat Ram who felt a strong need to build an alternative model of school education in Delhi. SRF Foundation, an initiative of SRF Limited came forward to support in realizing this vision.
SRF Foundation has the rich legacy of Sir Shri Ram, its Founder who had been involved in establishing the best known educational and cultural institutions in Delhi, pioneering to change the tenor of Indian industry, education, scientific research and agriculture leaving on it a stamp of his personality. His vision is reflected in his words.
Some of the best known educational institutions such as Shri Ram College of Commerce and Lady Shri Ram College are the outcomes of the great vision of Sir Shri Ram. The Shri Ram Schools have been set up in the same tradition of creating excellent institutions which serve society.
The Shri Ram Schools are progressive, secular, child centred, co-educational private schools, committed to providing quality education for all their students.
The first school was founded in 1988, and since then The Shri Ram schools have established a reputation for educational innovation and academic excellence. The school provides a positive environment and opportunities in which children are encouraged to achieve their fullest potential. In an atmosphere of mutual support, equality and dignity, each child is given the opportunity to strive for excellence within the framework of an extensive and diverse curriculum.
Shri Educare is an initiative of SRF Foundation, the founding body of The Shri Ram Schools. Shri Educare has been in existence since 2001, providing weekly workshops to teachers on curriculum, methodology and classroom management.
The Shri Educare Enhancing Early Education Programme:
Drawing from the wealth of experience of The Shri Ram Schools the Enhancing Early Education Programme popularly called 3EP an experiential, contemporary and relevant programme that imparts all the skills and training necessary to become a quality educator for children in the age group of 3-6 years. Trainees are exposed to the latest technologies and theories prevalent across the world today; while being encouraged to evaluate their relevance, applicability and authenticity in the Indian context., the course content is presented in a hands on and practical manner.
Executive Committee: The EC of each school comprises of the Chairman of SRF Foundation Mr. Arun Bharat Ram, the Director of SRF Foundation Dr. Suresh Yalla Reddy, the Director of The Shri Ram School Ms. Manika Sharma, Mr. Rajagopal, Mr. Sushil Ramola, Ms Vasvi Bharat Ram, Ms. Radhika Bharat Ram and the Manager Mr. Vijay Gupta.
Each school has a Managing Committee of its own headed by the Chairperson, the Director of the Foundation and comprising of the Director of the school, Principal and Vice Principal, members of the Parent Teacher Association and distinguished members from various walks of life including educationalists, journalists, and bureaucrats. The Managing Committee meets at least twice a year.
