Our objectives for the children are–integration into the mainstream wherever
possible as well as providing an adapted or functional curriculum according to
the needs of the student. In certain cases, the National Indian Open School
(NIOS) is offered as an alternate curriculum.

|
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an autonomous organization, set
up in1989, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It aims at
providing education at the Secondary and Senior Secondary level to all those
who have been not been able to keep pace with the curriculum of mainstream
Class 10 and/or 12.It provides education through the distance mode and provides
support to the students by way of study material and contact classes.

TSRS has a special admission process for students who would benefit from the
flexibility this study option offers. The advantage of being able to study
subjects of choice and appear for an examination such that all subjects are
cleared in a two year period over four testing/examination opportunities is one
several parents find fits in with their child’s special educational needs. NIOS
at TSRS finds it rightful place in the Special Educational Needs Program (SENP)
where children enjoy the benefits of being included in all co-curricular
activities of a regular school.
