ICSE Board
An important phase in a learner's journey

At The Shri Ram School, the secondary school years mark an important phase in a learner's journey as students transition into young adults with greater academic responsibility, independence and self-awareness.
The ICSE programme, prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), is designed to nurture intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking and informed decision-making while preparing students for future academic pathways and life beyond school.
The curriculum offers a balanced blend of academic rigour, conceptual understanding and real-world application. Students engage with an exploratory and flexible programme that encourages inquiry, discussion, research and creative expression. Learning experiences are thoughtfully designed to move beyond rote learning, helping students build deeper understanding, apply knowledge meaningfully and develop confidence as independent learners.
Education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world.

Assessment for Learning
Balanced and meaningful assessment.
Assessment within the ICSE programme combines internal assessments, practical work, projects and external board examinations, allowing students to demonstrate conceptual understanding, analytical ability, practical skills and subject proficiency in balanced and meaningful ways.
Students participate in ASSET and various Olympiads to strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving and conceptual understanding. These assessments provide meaningful insights into learning and encourage students to challenge themselves beyond the classroom curriculum.
Beyond the classroom, students participate in clubs, house activities, environmental initiatives, sports, community outreach programmes and leadership opportunities that foster collaboration, resilience, empathy and responsibility. Career awareness sessions and goal-setting programmes further guide students as they begin to explore their interests and future aspirations.
Through this comprehensive and flexible programme, students develop the confidence, discipline and academic rigour required for senior school and beyond, emerging as thoughtful, capable and future-ready learners.
