The Junior School Performing Arts programme introduces children to the vibrant worlds of Music, Dance and Theatre, laying the foundation for artistic exploration and self-expression from an early age.

Students explore Indian and Contemporary Dance through movement experiences that develop rhythm, coordination and body awareness. Theatre encourages imagination and confidence through forms such as Nukkad Naatak, mime, Brechtian theatre and musicals, while music introduces students to Indian and Contemporary traditions alongside opportunities to learn instruments such as the violin, keyboard, guitar and drums.

Through engaging and age-appropriate experiences, students develop confidence, curiosity and a love for the performing arts while discovering the joy of creative expression.

Senior School

In the Senior School, Performing Arts continue to play a vital role in holistic education, offering students meaningful opportunities for deeper artistic engagement, self-expression and personal growth.

The programme encompasses Indian and Western Music, Indian and Contemporary Dance, and Theatre, providing students with rich and diverse artistic experiences. In the middle years, students are encouraged to pursue their chosen art forms consistently across Classes VI, VII and VIII, enabling sustained practice, deeper engagement and stronger artistic growth. Students in Classes IX and X also have opportunities to pursue Indian Music and Dance as part of their academic and creative journey.

Through theatre, students strengthen storytelling, imagination, communication and performance skills. Music programmes introduce them to vocal and instrumental training, rhythm, music theory and varied musical traditions, while dance nurtures coordination, expression, balance and artistic confidence through exposure to movement traditions from India and around the world.

A vibrant culture of performance is celebrated through Form Mornings across Classes VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI, where students showcase their learning through theatre, music and dance. These productions bring together months of collaboration, mentorship and practice, giving every child an opportunity to participate, perform and shine with confidence.
